Zenab spies a beautiful ladies watch in Mushtaq’s drawer and assumes it’s a present for her. She confides in Sandra how romantic he has been lately.
Brian is full of the joys of spring. He asks Bill how the dance classes are going. Bill confesses he’s not enjoying them but he’s pretending to for Mary’s sake. They are interrupted by Brian’s mobile. It’s Sandra suggesting a meeting about Spanish investments. Brian’s delighted; he knows just the place for a ‘business lunch’.
Sandra and Brian meet in a country pub, away from prying eyes. Sandra accepts another glass of wine having agreed to leave her car and share a cab later. Brian continues to lay on the charm, and somehow they never get around to discussing Spanish investments. When Sandra announces she really should be going Brian invites her to St Patrick’s night at the Crown. Sandra says she’ll see.
Kenny notices Sandra’s in high spirits at home that night. She lies to him, saying she had a few drinks with a girlfriend. She casually mentions the St Patrick’s night party, knowing he won’t fancy it. When he moans, she asks if he minds her going on her own then, she’ll be just fine.
