Rita cooks Pradeep a special breakfast and mentions that Nadia has resigned from her job. Rita also tells Pradeep about Sameer lending Jaggy £10,000 and says it’s what you do when someone close to you needs help. Pradeep quickly susses that Rita is softening him up to go to Suresh for money to buy Saffron Ray’s. Pradeep says he doesn’t want to owe Suresh, but Rita points out that Suresh owes HIM for looking after Kamla all these years. Suresh wants to thank Pradeep and this is his chance.
At the Pump Works, Jodie has noticed Roopa ear wigging her phone conversations. She’s a lousy spy! Roopa needn’t worry, as Jodie explains there are no other offers for Saffron Ray’s on the table. Roopa takes a (late) birthday present round to Nadia. Jas sent it ages ago from New York. Jas was shocked to hear about Nadia’s plan to move to Mirpur, but she’s right behind Nadia. Roopa tells Nadia she’s rooting for her too, as Nadia gets excited about starting her own business.
At Jilani Fashions, Nadia gives Rozena a handover but seems side-tracked by gossip about Jungli having gone AWOL. Rozena doesn’t want to hear about all that though. She’s not convinced that Nadia really wants to live in Mirpur. And Roz had big plans for Nadia. But Nadia’s adamant that she has plans too. She’s determined to build a life for herself out there. And work aside, Nadia’s convinced there’s nothing keeping her in Silverhill…
