 Have your say
As the party continues at Saffrons, Rita calls Pradeep to tell him that everything’s ok. She covers up what’s happened, pretending that Suresh’s car broke down. Rita then assures Pradeep that she’ll be home soon, and tells him she loves him.
Meanwhile, Jai prepares to turn himself in and Sean’s there with him. Jai says he’s better off in jail than on the run, and when he gets out they can start again from scratch. Sean makes it clear that he’s proud of Jai. He wants to come with Jai to the station, but Jai says no. But he does want Sean to be his first visitor. Suresh tries to apologise to Sean, but Sean doesn’t want to talk to him right now. Suresh says he’ll be there when Sean changes his mind.
In his big speech at Saffrons, Pradeep pays special tribute to Dr. Masud, and mentions Mani, who he cooked with for years. Jodie then says a few heart-felt words, remembering when she first arrived in Silverhill. She knows Pradeep will do Mani proud as he takes the restaurant on, and raises a toast to Saffrons!
Arriving at the police station, Suresh offers to arrange a lawyer for Jai. And Rita offers to walk in with him. But Jai insists on going in alone. Suresh feels remorse for doing so much damage, but Rita reassures Suresh that Jai and Sean will forgive him. Believe it or not, she knew he wasn’t perfect! Rita and Suresh agree that Pradeep and Kamla don’t need to know about everything that’s happened today, or why Jai went away in the first place….
