Simon There are great paintings of food. Cezanne's 'Still Life With Onions', Courbet's 'Still Life With Apples and Pomegranates' and, of course, Garzoni's 'Natura Morta con Cilegie'. But it's tragic that Caravaggio never painted grilled sole with samphire. (Those ghastly Lucian Freuds of fat jobless women at least remind one of organic roast pork.)

Minty Simon's put together a complete photographic record of all Quill and Tassel dishes. His exhibition 'SNAPPER' - food photographs by Simon Marchmont - enjoyed a three week run at the Dawnay Gallery in Winchester, a leading off-London gallery.
