About this concert
Eric Whitacre needs no introduction. An international phenomenon, the Grammy-winning composer鈥檚 luminous and intensely beautiful music has captivated audiences across the globe. In the magnificent settings of Paisley Abbey, Whitacre conducts the world-class 麻豆社 Singers and 麻豆社 SSO through an inspiring programme of radiant choral music. Alongside his own compositions (including the now-classic Lux Aurumque), Whitacre presents music by living composers he particularly admires before the evening culminates with Mozart鈥檚 haunting Requiem 鈥 the masterpiece that inspired his very first composition.
