For the first of their two Festival concerts, the Â鶹Éç Singers present several works by Peter Maxwell Davies including the highly colourful and virtuosic Westerlings which sets texts by George Mackay Brown alongside choral representations of the sea. Amidst other works by Scottish, and Norwegian composers is a pure and meditative setting by the master of Renaissance polyphony Giovanni da Palestrina.
