About This Event
鈥楾he most valuable commodity is a real musical personality,鈥 wrote Andrew Clements of The Guardian, reporting on the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition. 鈥楾o judge from the final, Beisembayev certainly has that.鈥 Since his victory at Leeds, this young piano virtuoso from Kazakhstan has seen his career take off, with critics applauding his 鈥榟igh-powered鈥 playing. In this, his Proms debut, he tackles three cornerstones of the keyboard repertoire: the vivacity and wit of Scarlatti鈥檚 sonatas, the high-Romantic drama of Chopin鈥檚 expansive Second Sonata and 鈥 like a sudden volley of fireworks at the heart of the recital 鈥 three of Liszt鈥檚 spectacular Transcendental 脡tudes.
There will be no interval
