An early Valentine鈥檚 treat as Conductor Emeritus Vassily Sinaisky fires an arrow straight to the heart of romantic music lovers. After the virtuosic hedonism of Don Juan - the eponymous hero of Strauss鈥檚 tone poem - we hear Dvorak鈥檚 longing for his Bohemian homeland in one of the most cherished and popular of Dvorak鈥檚 works. Tchaikovsky鈥檚 love for his Ukranian second home rings out joyously in his lyrical Second Symphony, nicknamed the 鈥楲ittle Russian鈥 yet far from small in its jubilant rejoicing.
