 I am a banker.
Vous êtes dans quel hôtel?
 Which hotel are you staying at (literally 'are you in')?
C'est en face.
 It's opposite.
Est-ce que Monsieur N'Guyen est là?
 Is Mr N'Guyen in?

The verb être, 'to be' does not follow a regular pattern (conjugation). It is listed below in full in the present tense.

être to be
je suis I am
tu es you are
il/elle est he/she is
nous sommes we are
vous êtes you are
ils/elles sont they are

Note that there are two forms of 'you' in French: see tu and vous.
