The words
neben, in, an
and hinter
(called prepositions) can indicate motion.
When they do so as in the above
examples, die and das don't change but note how
der in der
Taxistand changes to den Taxistand.
This change
is triggered by the prepositions neben, in, an
and hinter when they indicate
motion and all three - den, die and
das are now in the accusative
case.
