Adil Ray - 麻豆社 Asian Network presenter
I went off to university and the music I was into wasn't catered for at my uni, so I went to the student union and they said 'yes, you go do it'! From there I just looked for any openings that came up and I started at a small station setting up in Birmingham.
Ayesha - 麻豆社 1Xtra presenter
Winning Xtra Talent started my career - it's given it such a big kick up the backside! I was expecting to do 1Xtra for a month and then go off to college and uni, but I kept getting called back and it's really opened up doors for me.
Nemone - 麻豆社 6 Music presenter
I loved listening to Kiss so I went for a job there. I didn't get it but the interview went well and I got a job on reception. I got to know people and stayed late at night to learn how things work. When someone was off I was asked to stand in!
Dermot O'Leary - 麻豆社 Radio 2 presenter
After leaving university I started out as a DJ on 麻豆社 Radio Essex but then it took around 200 letters to production companies to get a job as a TV runner before going on to do the warm-up for Channel 4's Light Lunch. Since then I have moved into presenting both on radio and television.
