Serious Andes

A challenging adventure to help build a pre-release enclosure for endangered spectacled (or Andean) bears in Ecuador has recently been completed by the eight participants who took part in this scheme ran by CÂ鶹Éç and Â鶹Éç New Talent.

Music Makers
We were looking for 40 young Music Makers to play with the Philharmonic Orchestra to record a new version of the Blue Peter theme tune.

We auditioned 600 people then 40 won a place at the residential camp in April, where they recorded the new track.

Young Storytellers

In 2005 we were looking for young people who could write imaginative and original stories. Ten winners were helped to transform their stories into exciting radio at Â鶹Éç studios, which were then be broadcast on Â鶹Éç 7's 'The Big Toe Radio Show' and Â鶹Éç Radio 4's 'Go4It'.

Joseph McManners

Since performing the lead role in The Little Prince, Joseph has gone onto record his first album 'In Dreams' for Sony Records, has appeared in many theatre productions, played Oliver in the Â鶹Éç's "Celebrate Oliver!" presented by Shane Ritchie and appeared in an episode of Â鶹Éç's The Sound of Musicals.

Serious Arctic

At Easter in 2004 eight young explorers headed into the depths of the Arctic, where they sledged across ice floes, worked with huskies, set up camp and survived in temperatures well below freezing.
