Discuss the effects of flooding on an area.  Has anyone in the class been affected by flooding in the past?  What was it like?

Scientists tell us that the earth’s climate is changing, it is slowly getting warmer.  This process is called climate change or global warming.  For people in Northern Ireland this is likely to mean more floods in the future.  View the following clips and articles and then discuss how we might prevent increased damage from flooding in the future.
