The Royal Wedding On Â鶹Éç Radio

Throughout the day on Â鶹Éç Radio

Â鶹Éç Radio offers coverage, reaction and special programmes reflecting the royal wedding across its national networks, as well as internationally on the Â鶹Éç World Service and locally on Â鶹Éç Local Radio.

With the Â鶹Éç being the only broadcaster based actually inside Westminster Abbey, Edward Stourton will provide commentary of the service for Â鶹Éç Radio 4 and across the other national radio networks. Presenters including James Naughtie for Radio 4 and Victoria Derbyshire and Richard Bacon for Â鶹Éç Radio 5 Live bring live build-up to the ceremony, with continuous coverage on Radio 5 Live from 6am until 7pm.

Â鶹Éç Radio 1 and Â鶹Éç Radio 2 feature live updates from key points along the procession route, alongside two one-off reports on the Â鶹Éç Asian Network. Radio 2 includes a very special outside broadcast of the Chris Evans Breakfast Show followed by Ken Bruce in the studio featuring celebratory music, guests and live updates.

Throughout the day, the music on Radio 1 will be chosen by listeners reflecting the mood in the country, while Sara Cox presents a wedding disco in Drivetime. Â鶹Éç Radio 3 has a Classical Collection special, with music full of pomp and circumstance used for royal occasions, and Afternoon On 3 features a live concert of royal music from Belfast's Ulster Hall. On Â鶹Éç Radio 6 Music marriage is celebrated with music from artists who have taken their relationship into the recording studios.
