Everyone knows that a football manager's life is not an easy one.

It's especially true if you're the manager of the QPR Women's team – and one of the players is your girlfriend.

Sue Elliot reports on Paul Mansfield's team as, in the face of relegation, they combat dirty tricks on the pitch - and hangovers off it.

Producer: Alison Vernon-Smith

First broadcast on Â鶹Éç Radio 4 in May 1996
