A creatively moving musical feature which tells the story of Sofiia, a 16 year old refugee from Ukraine, and her escape from her war-torn homeland to a music technology course in a Scottish university. A personal perspective of a teenager caught up in war.

This series of New Storytellers is presenting the winners of the Charles Parker Prize for the Best Student Radio Feature 2025. This award-winning feature was created by Sofiia Fylypiv who is studying for a Higher National Certificate at the University of the Highlands and Islands in Perth. According to the judges her feature was 鈥渢hought-provoking, emotionally engaging, with highly skilled radio production values for one so young and totally original use of music鈥�this feature showed expressiveness, storytelling skill, combined with subtle mix of music and effects鈥�. Moving, memorable and quite dazzling.鈥�
