From the 麻豆社 Proms, a special evening of words and music with the Ulster Orchestra and conductor Chlo茅 van Soeterst猫de celebrating the centenary of the Shipping Forecast, heard daily on 麻豆社 Radio 4, a lifeline to all those at sea and a poetic salve for countless others on land. With presenters from Radio 4鈥檚 Continuity team, music and readings inspired by the oceans and the elements, and a new work by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage and his group LYR, this is an event that speaks to the heart of our island nation.
