Marble Bust, Diving Boots, Ventriloquist's Puppet

Episode 15 of 25

A pair of rare boots with tales of adventure, a giant puppet with a famous past and a seller who gives it everything she’s got for a top bid.

Singer Simon’s fine marble bust seems tailor-made for Georges, but the sculpture specialist faces competition from JB, who’s always quick to appreciate a quality antique.

Ashar, from Oldham, brings on something a little more contemporary – an iconic chopper bike passed down to her from her dad. Original 70s models can go for big money, so she’s keen to get Simon’s opinion, but no matter what happens, she’s ready to give it the hard sell.

Third in today is Ray, with a pair of antique diving boots that once belonged to his father-in-law, a decorated navy diver. They’re big shoes to fill, so which of the dealers will be willing to take the plunge?

Viewers of a nervous disposition may want to look away when Clive and Tony arrive. Tony is a ventriloquist's puppet with a fine pedigree. He appeared on stage and screen in the 60s and 70s, and his owner Jim Tattershall inspired many comedy acts, including Morecambe and Wise, and Galton and Simpson. But will the dealers be willing to pay what Clive (and Tony!) are asking for?

Last through the doors is Helen, bringing an unusual childcare aid all the way from Hong Kong – tiny bells to tie on to babies. We all know who will be testing those out.
