Game On
Meet the man with a record-breaking collection of board games and learn about the ancient origins of playing cards.
Dust off the dice for an episode all about vintage toys and board games. Danny Sebastian is at a toy and model museum in Brighton to remember the teams who gambled on these tabletop treasures at auction.
In Surrey, a magician and his son stick on a 100-year-old olive wood card game counter, and in north Wales, the reds hope to put their opponents in check – with a chess set carved from a tree trunk!
Along the way, Danny learns about the ancient origins of snakes and ladders, and plays a boisterous game of skill designed by injured World War I soldiers. At the end of the programme, Danny counts down the most profitable items in the saleroom – and reveals who held all the aces.
