Books, which are seen as non-conformist, are banned and burned.

Montag is one of the team of firemen whose job it is to burn them. He gradually becomes uneasy with his role and steals one of the banned books.

Ray Bradbury's futuristic, dystopian novel, first published in 1953 - inspired by Nazi book-burnings and McCarthyism in the USA.
