Henley

Episode 11 of 35

Charlie Dimmock and Lee Burkhill transform a plot that is just grass, two patios, a shed and a tree stump into Annie and Alex's dream garden, full of bees, birdsong and wildlife.

Charlie Dimmock and Lee Burkhill are in Henley-on-Thames to help Annie and Alex transform their plain rectangular plot, currently just grass, a small patio by the house, another at the far end with a shed, and a tree stump, into the garden of their dreams, filled with bees, birdsong and wildlife.

Alex and Annie imagine a lush, tranquil space, alive with nature, that will include a small pond to bring a peaceful atmosphere, fragrant flowers to attract pollinators and birdsong filling the air. They dream of sipping morning coffee beside the water, hosting summer barbecues on the sunlit patio and creating a garden that feels both beautiful and sustainable.

They would love raised beds for homegrown vegetables, a seamless flow from the kitchen for outdoor cooking and dining, and a safe, open space for their dog to roam. Fixing the muddy path to the shed is also high on their list of priorities.

Alex and Annie are a passionate, caring couple. Alex works as an NHS clinician across multiple counties and in an intensive care unit in London, while Annie promotes sustainability in the banking sector, encouraging greener business practices. An outdoor enthusiast, she previously ran a company inspiring people to stay active and connected with nature. They are both deeply committed to making a positive impact on the world, starting right in their own back garden.

Can Charlie and Lee turn this simple patch of lawn into a dreamy birdsong garden, all on a 拢5,000 budget?
