Featured Artist: Jordan Au
Gorgeous melodic, acoustic vibes from the Leominster singer-songwriter. Plus Bewdley's Becky Hill is on, fresh from her huge homecoming in Worcester. With Andrew Marston.
Warning: This show may contain future headliners! Andrew Marston introduces the best new music from our area, including:
鈥 We鈥檙e at the Marr鈥檚 Bar in Worcester for a rare, intimate set from Bewdley's Becky Hill, back where it began for our 麻豆社 Introducing superstar, as Everywhere At Once puts grassroots venues and their impact firmly centre stage.
鈥 Hearing from Lissy Taylor after performing to 13,000 people in Tuscany, continuing a journey that鈥檚 moved from Stoke-on-Trent through to major international festival stages.
鈥 In our Music News: Shrewsbury's Acrobvt head on a European tour with Anastacia for a second year.
鈥 This week鈥檚 Featured Artist is Emily Mayflower, a Shrewsbury nurse who honed her craft busking while studying at university.
鈥 Stoke-on-Trent鈥檚 Static Dress are set for a global breakthrough this month, heading on tour across America, Australia and Europe, while marking the moment with a new music video filmed at the historic King鈥檚 Hall in their hometown.
鈥 Our Festival Guide looks ahead to a packed summer weekend, from Worcester Mela to Upton鈥檚 WooFest, Redditch SummerFest, AlderFest in Whitchurch, Cheshire鈥檚 Tributes on the Hill and Brit Fest, Staffordshire鈥檚 Trentham Summer Concerts and Weston Park鈥檚 Camperjam Festival, near Shifnal.
鈥 He started at 16 on his grandad鈥檚 decks and has gone on to play Creamfields and Ministry of Sound. Biddulph鈥檚 Jordan Tilstone joins us after Claywork at Gladstone Pottery, reflecting on a night where some of the city鈥檚 most iconic kilns became the backdrop for a truly one-of-a-kind dancefloor.
鈥 It's the last in our series from StourJam, a brand-new event that鈥檚 already the biggest UK charity music festival based on the number of live music performances, bringing 344 artists across 15 venues and 20 stages over three days. This week we hear from Leominster's Jordan Au, raised in a musical family, who made a life-changing decision at 21 to quit drinking and rediscovered music through songwriting.
