Wisdom to the wise

A spiritual comment and prayer to start the day with Rumbi Tauro.

Prayer for the Day presented by Rumbi Tauro.

Good morning,

In life, there are many moments where I find myself unsure of what the next step should be. Whether it鈥檚 decisions about my career or personal life, I鈥檝e realised that not every answer comes instantly. Recently, I鈥檝e been reminded of something simple but powerful: I don鈥檛 have to figure everything out on my own.

Wisdom isn鈥檛 something I need to create within myself; it鈥檚 something I can ask for. James 1:5 says, 鈥淚f any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.鈥 What stands out to me is that there鈥檚 no hesitation from God. He doesn鈥檛 give wisdom reluctantly or only when we鈥檝e earned it. He gives generously and without judgement.

That means even in my uncertainty, even when I feel like I should have it all together, I can still come to Him honestly and ask for guidance. I鈥檓 learning that wisdom isn鈥檛 always about having all the answers straight away. Sometimes it鈥檚 about having the peace to take the next step, trusting that God is guiding me even when the full picture isn鈥檛 clear.

So when I feel unsure, instead of rushing or overthinking, I鈥檓 learning to pause and ask. To invite God into the process and trust that He will lead me.

Dear God, thank you that I don鈥檛 have to rely on my own understanding. Thank you that I can access you anytime in prayer. Help me to trust you and walk in your wisdom each day, and when I feel lost may I draw closer to you. Amen.
