Is leg-lengthening surgery safe?

Stacey witnesses a shocking surgery in Miami where people have their legs broken to get six inches taller and questions if drinking toxic laundry powder can really cure joint pain.

Stacey explores a growing looksmaxxing trend and travels to Miami to witness a shocking surgery where people have their legs broken to get six inches taller. Dr Dror Paley, a leading US surgeon, explains how limb lengthening has transformed from a cutting-edge reconstructive surgery into a popular cosmetic procedure at his clinic. Stacey meets one of his patients who decided to get the surgery after a divorce and spent over a year in rehabilitation before reaching 6ft 1in.

Stacey returns to the UK to turn her attentions to a laundry powder called Borax, which sparked an international outcry after people claimed on TikTok that drinking it could cure joint pain. Tracing the digital trail leads her to a small village and farm shop in north Yorkshire where the claims bizarrely seem to have originated.
