Elizabeth Alker brings you an afternoon of exclusive music-making, including performances from a great summer of music-making in the U.K and abroad. From Amsterdam, Poulenc鈥檚 Les Biches and Rimsky-Korsakov鈥檚 Scheherazade bring two very different colours to the concert hall, with the South Netherlands Philharmonic conducted by Duncan Ward and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra led by Tianyi Lu.

From Utrecht, Le Po猫me Harmonique and Vincent Dumestre perform Locatelli鈥檚 sombre Sinfonia funebre, while the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, directed by Michael Waterman, play C.P.E. Bach鈥檚 D minor Flute Concerto. And from the Edinburgh International Festival, Vilde Frang and Olli Mustonen perform Bart贸k鈥檚 powerful First Violin Sonata.
