Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring from the Baltic Sea Festival
Alex Humphreys introduces an afternoon of great music-making including highlights from the Baltic Sea Festival and chamber music from the East Neuk Festival.
Alex Humphreys presents an afternoon of exclusive music-making from the UK and beyond, with performances captured at two major European festivals. From the Baltic Sea Festival, Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 lyrical Serenade for Strings in E major is performed by musicians from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Czech Philharmonic, alongside Stravinsky鈥檚 revolutionary The Rite of Spring, with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andr茅s Orozco-Estrada. We also hear early music from Il Pomo d鈥橭ro, joined by countertenor Jakub J贸zef Orli艅ski.
