Cook the Perfect...Tarte Tatin with Trish Deseine
It鈥檚 a good year for British apples and the right variety can be transformed into a particularly delicious upside down apple tart, more commonly known as tarte tatin. Legend has it that it was born out of a misadventure. One of the famous French Tatin sisters tripped taking an apple pie out of the oven and the pie fell face down on the floor. Unwilling to waste it, she put it back on the plate and served it upside down. Food writer Trish Deseine joins Jenni in the studio to demonstrate how to make this classic French dish.
