Chris Lunt the writer and creator of television series Prey, revealed to Richard Bacon that he is writing a script for a new version of the 1960鈥檚 spy thriller The Saint, which starred Roger Moore:

"I'm doing a reboot of The Saint, just script commissions at the moment, there are not guaranteed at the moment, but yes that鈥檚 quite exciting.鈥�

Mr Lunt said he is going to Hollywood with writer Ed Whitmore, who worked on Silent Witness, but it will 鈥渉ave a very British feel鈥� and will be 鈥渟hot half in the UK and Europe and half globally鈥�.

Mr Lunt said the programme is being pitched to UK broadcasters in the next few weeks.
