Meet Pepper, the robot that feels
Pepper is four feet tall and dances, sings, and speaks Japanese. His inventors claim that not only can he read emotions, but he can display them too - he gets lonely when left by himself, and scared when the lights go off. Now Japanese consumers can buy a Pepper of their own, for a mere $1600, and the idea is that they will help care for the elderly. Professor Noel Sharkey is a robotics expert from the University of Sheffield.
