Pepper is four feet tall and dances, sings, and speaks Japanese. His inventors claim that not only can he read emotions, but he can display them too - he gets lonely when left by himself, and scared when the lights go off. Now Japanese consumers can buy a Pepper of their own, for a mere $1600, and the idea is that they will help care for the elderly.
