Ashleigh Davids on using poetry and music to fight for equality
South African poet and singer, Ashleigh Davids, is an artist on a mission and she is not afraid to tackle tough social issues.
A song she sang to raise funds for Ebola victims, Help Africa Fight, done in collaboration with Malawian music collective Nyali Muzik, was recognised by the Kora Music Awards.
Recently the 23-year-old met with 麻豆社 Africa's Bola Mosuro and started by reciting a poem about the role of women in society.
