Kenya's Internal Security Minister responds on mass graves; Rwanda plans referendum.
Kenya's Minister for Internal Security, Joseph Nkaissery, has described allegations of a mass grave in Mandera in North Eastern province as outlandish. He's denied that security forces have been carrying out extra-judicial killings.
Rwanda has announced that a referendum will be held next week on a constitutional amendment allowing President Paul Kagame to stand for a third term.
Tanzania's new president John Magufuli has been collecting rubbish on the streets of Dar es Salaam. It's part of a public clean-up operation which he ordered as a replacement for lavish independence day celebrations
