UK-Africa: Why is reverse migration of the deceased still popular?
In the UK, repatriating the deceased is common in the various African communities. According to the Moroccan Consulate in London, 95% of first generation Moroccans are repatriated when they die. Something similar happens in the Nigerian community: every day at least two bodies are flown back to Lagos from Heathrow airport.
