African sex workers demand their rights
Many African sex workers are calling for their work to be decriminalised, and are mobilising to demand their rights. Some face abuse at the hands of clients, as well as police persecution and religious condemnation.
Nigerian-American academic Chi Adanna Mgbako is the author of a new book - To Live Freely in This World: Sex Worker Activism in Africa – which profiles the growing rights movement. She spoke to the Â鶹Éç's Leslie Goffe in the US.
