Africa's renewable future
The potential for Green energy on the continent is huge with it's abundant natural resources. Already there are schemes up and running using wind, solar and hydro to power the grid. Now in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa a major energy waste plant is under construction which will turn the cities mountains of rubbish into electricity. It's the brainchild of entrepreneur Samuel Alemayehu, managing director of the Cambridge Group companies.. He made his fortune in Silicon Valley while studying engineering at Stanford University in California, but now he is back home.. Focus On Africa's Akwasi Sarpong asked how it will work....
