'Imperial Exile' documents Emperor Haile Selassie's exile here in Britain in the late 1930s and spotlights the difficulties faced by the royal family who fled Ethiopia after Mussolini invaded in 1936. It was only when Mussolini decided to enter World War 2 in alliance with Hitler that the international community decided to help the Emperor regain his throne in 1940. Before that Haile Selassie and his family lived in Bath, a small city in southwest England.
