Ghana pop star's hepatitis campaign
An effective vaccine for the hepatitis virus has existed for over 30 years. Yet, more than 650,000 Africans die from hepatitis B-related liver disease or liver cancer every year. People don't know they have hepatitis B until they have been tested, so screening is a key factor in preventing the spread of the disease.
Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame tells 麻豆社 Africa's Akwasi Sarpong how he is sponsoring a screening programme which has so far seen over 6,000 people.
