Have we fallen out of love with fish and chips?

A chippy tea used to be the third most popular dish on pub menus and in hotels, but according to new research it鈥檚 dropped to eighth place.

Andrew Crook is from the National Federation of Fish Fryers, and owns a fish and chip shop near Preston.

He said 鈥淪ome pubs and hotels can do a good job, but on the whole independent fish and shops just do it better.鈥�

He added 鈥淭he secret for great fish and chips is caring about what you鈥檙e serving, and the ingredients and attention to detail.鈥�
