Getting a loan is a major challenge for many would-be business owners in Africa.
Banks find it difficult to assess risk because a large number of people do not have a bank account or a credit score.

In Kenya, some lenders are starting to get around this problem by using information about borrowers that is collected by technology companies in other industries. The 麻豆社's Nancy Kacungira reports.
