South African play tackles land ownership issues
A South African play "The Dying Screams of the Moon" tackles the challenges of giving back land seized from the black population during the Apartheid regime. Set in a church, the play centres around the meeting of two women - one black, who returns to try to take back her family's land - and one white - who is part of the family that currently owns the land. Written 20 years ago - the play is still relevant as the land ownership issue in South Africa remains unresolved.
