ARTS: South Africa, the art of a nation
Can a car be an art object? If you are South African artist Esther Mahlangu, you give it a go. She was commissioned by BMW to paint over a car in the vivid colours that decorate many homes of the Ndebele people. That painted car is now one of 200 works in a major new British Museum Exhibition, "South Africa, the art of a nation". The 麻豆社's Hassan Arouni has been checking out the new show
