Mine boss on why DRC still imports so much food
The DRC is endowed with a bounty of natural resources, yet its population is one of the poorest in the world. So why and when will this change?
Albert Yuma Mulimbi is the chairman of the board of Gecamines, the state owned mining company based in Lubumbashi. It is one of Africa's leading mining companies and it sits on the world's largest cobalt and copper deposits. Mr Mulimbu is also the Chairman of country's Chamber of Commerce.
Akwasi Sarpong asked him why the DRC is still having to rely so heavily on importing its food.
