America will soon elect a new president to replace Barack Obama.
For the Africans who moved to the country as Obama came to power, it was an eye-opening period as the 'land of opportunity' was rocked by recession and economic uncertainty. One of the hardest-hit cities was Detroit in the mid-western state of Michigan.
