An English artist has collected over 100 messages in bottles from UK shorelines over the past five years.

5 live spoke to Nicola White, who started collecting them after her dog found one washed up while they were out for a walk.

Since then, she has been trying to contact whoever sent the messages.

She managed to get in touch with a boy called Jack who had written a message in a bottle expressing a wish to be 鈥榓 鈥楧ino Thunder鈥� Power Ranger鈥�.
Nicola sent Jack the Power Rangers costume he had wished for.

She told us: 鈥淚 have found people鈥檚 wishes, even New Year鈥檚 resolutions, declarations of love.鈥�

"Throwing a wish in the river as a child and getting it is quite magical," she added.
