In addition to using many outside orchestras, the 麻豆社 had their own Regional Staff orchestras specialising in light music, based in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol and Belfast. Of these orchestras, the 麻豆社's 'Pride and Joy' was the 麻豆社 Midland Light Orchestra, which could be heard 'on the air' several times a week and whose versatility knew no bounds.
