Being Intersex in Uganda
Ugandan-born Julius Kaggwa is intersex, meaning he did not fit into the binary gender categories of either boy or girl at birth. Julius' family decided to raise him as a girl, but he now chooses to identify as male.
An active campaigner, Julius recently agreed to be the subject of a short animated film on what it's like to be intersex. He speaks to the 麻豆社's Audrey Brown.
