"You have to take risks" Tunisian artist Thameur Mejri on politics and painting
Thameur Mejri uses his canvas to explore local and universal issues. The work in his UK exhibition 'Before you split the ground' contains large scale paintings that deal with brutality, bestiality, war, bigotry, intolerance and communication breakdown.
He spoke to Focus on Africa's Kim Chakanetsa about life as an artist in Tunisia.
