Johan Cruyff helped me become Ajax boss
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has revealed how Johan Cruyff helped him become boss of Ajax Football Club. Van der Sar remembered how Cruyff got in touch when he was still a United player and suggested he could become an executive at Holland鈥檚 biggest club once his career was over. Van der Sar is now Ajax chief executive and looking forward to the prospect of facing United in the Europa League final. It all makes for a busy schedule for Van der Sar, who said he is surprised at the workload involved in running a top football club
