Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has revealed how Johan Cruyff helped him become boss of Ajax Football Club. Van der Sar remembered how Cruyff got in touch when he was still a United player and suggested he could become an executive at Holland’s biggest club once his career was over. Van der Sar is now Ajax chief executive and looking forward to the prospect of facing United in the Europa League final.
