From drought to plenty in South Africa
Farmers enjoy a 50% surplus of their staple maize crop in South Africa, the biggest in four decades.This comes a year after drought devastated output. Neighbouring countries including Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe are also reporting record harvests. Jannie De Villiers of South African Grain says it is a big relief.
